GLENSIDE, Pa. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (5-1) won every event in a 109-59 victory at Arcadia (0-4) Nov. 18.
Senior
Voyta Karas (Brno, Czech Republic) established a pair of new pool records in the 50 (21.98) and 100 (49.51) frees. Senior
Kirk Smith (West Orange, N.J./West Orange) won the 200 IM (2:16.5) and the 100 breast (1:08.61), while sophomore
Edward Zappile (Oak Ridge, N.J./Jefferson Twp.) touched first in the 200 (1:56.3) and 500 (5:20.38) frees. Senior
Stefan Rosales (Rahway, N.J./St. Joseph's-Metuchen) finished first in the 100 back (1:00.64), sophomore
Jeremy Lim (Clifton, N.J./Clifton) won the 100 fly (59.28), and senior
Danny Lynch (Rockaway, N.J./St. Francis Prep) touched first in the 1,000 free (11:19.41).
In addition, the Pioneer 200 free relay of
Sebastian Schrils (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional),
Brian Birkbeck (Absecon, N.J./Holy Spirit),
Kevin Thomas (Seaville, N.J./Ocean City) and Karas turned in a winning time of 1:33.30.
William Paterson will return to action Saturday, Dec. 5, at FDU-Florham at 1:00 p.m.
