WAYNE, N.J. – Celebrating Parents Appreciation Day at Wightman Pool, the William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (6-1) posted a 109-60 victory against Drew (0-5) Dec. 6.
Junior
Voyta Karas (Brno, Czech Republic) was the performer of the meet, posting excellent times to win both the 100 (48.43) and 200 (1:50.3) frees. Senior
Michael O'Shea (Edgewater, N.J./Leonia) finished first in the one-meter (206.7) and three-meter (195.90) dives, junior
Kirk Smith (West Orange, N.J./West Orange) touched first in the 200 IM (2:13.0) and 100 breast (1:07.2), and senior
David Caputo (Staten Island, N.Y./Curtis) rounded out the double winners with first-place efforts in the 500 (5:17.4) and 1,000 (10:59.0) frees.
Sophomore
Evan Seftel (Montville, N.J./Montville) won the 50 free (22.5), classmate
Jeremy Lim (Clifton, N.J./Clifton) touched first in the 100 fly (1:07.0), and junior
Stefan Rosales (Rahway, N.J./St. Joseph's-Metuchen) placed first in the 100 back (58.3).
William Paterson will return to action Saturday, Dec. 13, when the Pioneers host Adelphi at 1:00 p.m.
