Four First-Half Goals give WP Victory against Hunter

POMONA, N.J. – Four first-half goals from the Pioneers' freshmen gave the William Paterson men's soccer team (3-1) a 4-0 victory against Hunter at the Richard Stockton Seashore Classic Sept. 7.

Danny Kusnic (Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland Regional) got the scoring started in the 16th minute off an assist from sophomore Jonathan Donado (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley), followed by a Daniel Sanchez (Prospect Park, N.J./Manchester Regional) score in the 25th minute off an assist from freshman Dan Fulmer (Andover, N.J./Newton). Chris Gahagan (Old Bridge, N.J./Old Bridge) made the score 3-0 with a goal in the 37th minute off an assist from Dan Peragallo (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick), and Sanchez finished the effort with his second goal of the night, converting a Fulmer assist in the 44th minute.

Senior goalkeeper David Casper (Franklin, N.J./Timothy Christian) played the first 45:00 in goal for the Pioneers and was not required to make a save. After playing in the field and collecting an assist in the first half, Peragallo made one second-half save in goal.

The Pioneers will finish play at the Seashore Classic Saturday, Sept. 8, against SUNY Farmingdale at 1:00 p.m.
