WAYNE, N.J. – Football senior linebacker Mike Lamego (North Arlington, N.J./Queen of Peace) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week Sept. 8.

Lamego added two interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown, to his five tackles (four solo) in a 26-20 double-overtime loss at Brockport Sept. 6. The senior linebacker’s 20-yard INT return gave the Pioneers a 20-14 lead with 3:50 remaining in the third quarter of WP’s season opener.
