Football junior running back Shaun Puluse (Haledon, N.J./Passaic Tech) was named William Paterson’s Male Pioneer of the Week for Oct. 29.

Puluse rushed for a game-high 146 yards (4.9 avg.) and two touchdowns in a 30-27 victory against Kean Oct. 27. He had two second-half touchdowns – one from two yards that put the Pioneers ahead 14-13 (9:02, third), and another for 22 yards to take a 27-20 lead (8:12, fourth). He gained 93 of his 146 yards in the second half on 17 carries (5.5 avg.), including 57 yards in the critical fourth quarter.
