WAYNE, N.J. – Football junior tailback Dawys German (North Arlington, N.J./North Arlington) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week for Nov. 14.
German had a career-high 233 yards rushing during a 45-19 victory at Western Connecticut Nov. 12. He carried the ball 31 times, and his three consecutive touchdowns during the second half gave WP a 38-12 lead to put the game away. German finished the season with 180 carries for 1,020 yards and eight scores, becoming the Pioneers’ first 1,000-yard rusher since 1996 (Andre Evans, 212 attempts, 1,290 yards).
