Women’s basketball freshman forward Christina Longo (Middletown, N.J./Middletown South) was named William Paterson’s Pioneer of the Week for March 10.

Longo scored 11 points in 26 minutes off the bench in the Pioneers’ 64-57 loss to St. Lawrence March 7 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Longo, who added six rebounds, an assist, two steals and a blocked shot against the Saints, drained back-to-back three-pointers to make it a two-point contest at 43-41 with 9:48 to play.
