WAYNE, N.J. – Football senior linebacker David Zurla (Rutherford, N.J./Rutherford) was named the Sept. 23 William Paterson Pioneer of the Week.

Zurla made a game-high and career-best 12 tackles (eight solo) Sept. 21 at Cortland. Among his stops were 2.5 for a loss, including 2.0 sacks. He ranks second for WP this fall with 25 tackles, is tied for second with 3.5 stops for a loss, and his 2.0 sacks lead the Pioneers.
