Football sophomore wide receiver Joel Rivera (Hoboken, N.J./Hoboken) was named William Paterson’s Male Pioneer of the Week for Nov. 5.

Rivera caught seven passes for a game-high 140 yards in a 42-28 loss at Montclair State Nov. 3. He had a 25-yard touchdown reception early in the second quarter, and his 60-yard catch helped set up another TD early in the third quarter. Rivera’s 140 yards were a career high, as well as his second 100-yard total.
