William Paterson University Athletics

David Kessinger is in his third season as a William Paterson women’s basketball assistant coach during the 2017-18 season.
 
He previously worked at Dwight Morrow High School in Englewood, and served as the school's girls varsity head coach from 2012-15. Kessinger was the varsity girls basketball coach at Midland Park High School for three years (2009-12), leading the team to a 20-6 record during the 2011-12 season, the Patriot League title and the state sectional semifinals.
 
An assistant coach at Montclair State University (2007-09), Kessinger helped the Red Hawks post 37 wins over a two-year span, this after he was the head coach at Bergen Community College from 2004-07.
 
A coach of numerous area AAU teams, he earned a bachelor’s in business marketing from the University of Phoenix.
