William Paterson University Athletics

Former Pioneer all-American BriAnna Lucas serves as William Paterson’s undergraduate assistant coach during the 2012-13 season.

A 2012 honorable-mention Women’s Basketball Coaches Association all-American, Lucas was the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Defensive Player of the Year and a first-team D3hoops.com and ECAC all-region and all-NJAC selection, as well as a member of the D3hoops.com and D3 News Preseason All-America Teams, as a senior.  She finished as WP’s career steals leader (308) and second at William Paterson in scoring (1,702).  Lucas was named to the 2011 WBCA All-America Team and the D3hoops.com All-America Third Team, was a four-time all-conference honoree, the 2011 ECAC Metro Player of the Year and NJAC Co-Player and Defensive Player of the Year, a three-time all-region selection and the 2009 NJAC and ECAC Metro Region Rookie of the Year.

A native of Hamilton, Lucas is completing a bachelor’s degree in art at William Paterson.
