Ashley Castillo ’19 joined the William Paterson women’s basketball staff as an assistant coach in October of 2022.
Castillo, a graduate of William Paterson, played three seasons on the Pioneers’ women’s basketball team from 2015-18. She appeared in 79 career games while making 20 starts. The Ridgefield Park, N.J., native averaged 5.4 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game while scoring over 400 career points and making more than 80 shots from 3-point range.
During her time with the program, William Paterson won 47 games overall and 30 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) contests. She also played a role on the Pioneers’ 2018 team that won the ECAC Championship.
Castillo graduated from William Paterson in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology.
