Torrance "Tank" Daniels

Following four seasons of playing experience in the NFL and time as a broadcast journalist, Torrance “Tank” Daniels joined the William Paterson football staff as an assistant coach in 2012. After working with the bandits his first year, he is coaching the 2013 linebacker unit.

Daniels signed with the Philadelphia Eagles and made his NFL debut on Nov. 26, 2006, against the Indianapolis Colts. In 2007, Daniels was picked up by the New York Giants, where he was a part of the Super Bowl championship team. He returned to the Eagles in 2008, and finished his NFL career as a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2010. Daniels was also the recipient of numerous NFL Player of the Week awards during his career. Following a brief stint with the UFL’s Hartford Colonials in 2010, he joined CineSport as a broadcaster in 2011.

A graduate of Harding University in 2006, Daniels earned a bachelor’s in kinesiology. Compiling 237 tackles, 17.5 sacks and seven interceptions during his career, he was a two-time all-American and also earned the Associated Press Little All-American honors.
