Paul Bachia joined the William Paterson staff as the running backs coach for the 2014 season.
Bachia spent time as an assistant coach for College of the Holy Cross (2001-03) where he acted as the running backs coach, assisted the special teams coordinator and was the head coach of the junior varsity team.
He was an assistant head coach at Albright College (1997-2001), coaching the tight ends, running backs and special teams as well as serving as the head coach of the junior varsity team. Bachia also acted as the strength and conditioning coach and fitness director for all of the college’s programs. Prior to that, Bachis was an assistant coach at Fordham University (1995-97), working with the running backs and offensive line while also serving as the strength and conditioning coach.
Bachia also has a wealth of high school experience, assisting with the programs at Pitman (1990-92), Glassboro (1992-94), Ridgewood (1994-95) and Suffern (2008-14).
A retired detective in the New York Police Department, he helped coach the NYPD Finest football team from 2004-08, and he also served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve. Bachia completed a bachelor’s in history at Rowan in 1994.
