Lance Marquez joined the William Paterson football staff as an assistant coach in August of 2024, working with the running backs.
Marquez came to WP after serving as the pass game coordinator and running backs coach at Sussex County Community College. While on the staff, he coached the top-ranked wide receiver who finished second in the nation in receiving touchdowns and third in receiving yards, while ranking inside the top 10 in receptions and yards per catch.
Prior to his time with the Skylanders, he was the offensive coordinator at Lincoln High School in Jersey City, N.J., from 2014-23. He developed two 1,200-yard rushers and coached nine Lions who went on to play at the Division I level.
Marquez graduated from American Public University with a bachelor’s in sports management.
