Jaleel Taylor

Jaleel Taylor is in his fourth season as a William Paterson assistant football coach in 2021.
 
Taylor came to William Paterson following a stint as offensive and defensive line coach for the Jersey Devils, a Trenton, N.J., based arena football team. He also held the position of offensive line coach at Hillside High School (2015-17). Taylor was instrumental in developing proper techniques and fundamentals for the program and was a key figure in the Comets’ run to the 2017 NJSIAA state championship.
 
Away from the gridiron, Taylor is the head coach for the Hillside girls’ basketball program, in addition to being the founder and head coach of an AAU team - the Jersey Heat.
 
Following his playing days at the University of New Haven, Taylor was invited to the Philadelphia Eagles training camp. Taylor also played professional in the Arena Football League, most notably with the Philadelphia Soul and San Antonio Bandits, for four seasons before entering coaching.
 
Taylor holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Kean University.
