Former Pioneer Dashawn Johnson returned to Wayne in 2022 to serve as William Paterson’s Assistant Coach, working with the defensive line.
After participating in the Green Bay Packers’ 2014 rookie orientation camp, he went on to play for a number of teams in the Arena Football League, Canadian Football League, Fall Experimental Football League, American Indoor Football League, China Arena Football League and National Arena League from 2014-22.
A member of the 2013 All-New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Second Team, he started in all nine of his appearances at left tackle as a senior, and started 31 of 37 games during his four-year career as a Pioneer (2010-13). He capped his time at WP by participating in the 2014 Dream Bowl Senior Football All-Star Game.
Johnson earned a bachelor’s in sociology from WP in 2014.
