Darrin Pearson

Darrin Pearson joined William Paterson as the outside linebackers coach in 2015, and works with the cornerbacks in 2016 while coordinating WP’s recruiting efforts in Hunterdon County.
 
Although injured for much of his career, he was a running back and special teams contributor at the University of Oklahoma (1997), and played in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) national championship game at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in 1994.

Pearson was a running back, defensive back and team co-captain for the Milan (Italy) Falcons of the European Federation of American Football (EFAF), rushing for 1,300 yards, scoring 15 touchdowns, and collecting 483 receiving yards and two interceptions. He helped lead the team to the Euro Bowl Championship Series semifinals.
 
A former physical education and health education teacher at New Visions Charter High School-Humanities II in Bronx, N.Y., Pearson served as an assistant football coach and cross country/middle sprints coach at East Central High School in Tulsa, Okla. (2006-11), helping the football team win five conference titles and the track teams a combined five state championships.
 
The founder and owner of D.P. Sports, he earned a bachelor’s in broadcast communications from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2005, a master’s in urban education from Langston University in 2010, and a master’s in health education/family and community from Columbia University’s Teachers College in 2014.
