Prior to William Paterson: Helped lead John Jay H.S. to a Section I second-place finish as a senior captain, earning all-league, all-conference, all-section and honorable-mention all-state status … Won the Section I championship as a junior, garnering all-league and all-conference accolades ... Was a three-time wrestling all-league selection and a two-time division champ … Received all-section honors as a senior and was a two-time Poughkeepsie Journal All-Star … An Honor Roll student.
