Biography

Career: A two-time all-American and a three-time first-team all-conference selection ... In 118 career games (115 starts), owns a .422 batting average (fourth at WP), 208 hits (second), 46 doubles (tied-third), eight triples, 18 home runs, 148 RBI and 133 runs scored … Also tied for ninth on the Pioneer career hit by pitches chart (14).

 

2009: Selected to the Rawlings/American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-America Third Team and the ABCA Mid-Atlantic Region, All-ECAC Metro Region, New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association (NJCBA) Division II/III All-State and All-NJAC First Teams after hitting .419 with 17 doubles, six home runs, 48 RBI, 44 runs scored, 13 stolen bases, a .645 slugging percentage and a .446 on-base percentage … Was tied for sixth in hits (72) and doubles on the WP single-season lists … Led the team in hits and doubles, and was second in home runs, RBI and steals … In the NJAC statistics, was second in hits/game (1.80, 41st in Division III), tied for third in hits and total bases (111), fourth in doubles/game (0.43) and RBI/game (1.20), tied for fourth in RBI and doubles, sixth in average, slugging percentage and steals/game (0.33), seventh in stolen bases, and eighth in runs, home runs, homers/game (0.15) and runs/game (1.10) … Started the season with a 10-game hit streak … Posted 24 multi-hit games and 13 multi-RBI contests … Reached base safely in all but six games … Hit .460 with 11 doubles, 28 RBI and 24 runs scored in 18 NJAC games … Was 4-for-5 with a double, two home runs, a pair of runs scored and five runs-batted-in during a 20-7 win against Richard Stockton (4/25/09) … Went 3-for-5, hit a double and crossed the plate twice during an 8-2 NJAC Tournament win at No. 6 Kean (4/30/09) … Named to the 2009 D3baseball.com Preseason All-America First Team.

 

2008: Followed a superb first season with an even greater campaign as a sophomore outfielder for the Pioneers, leading the NJAC in batting average (.435, tied-50th in Division III), slugging percentage (.701), RBI (59, 22nd in NCAA), doubles (17), and total bases (124, tied-23rd in Division III) ... Named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-America Second Team, and the ABCA Mid-Atlantic Region, ECAC All-Metro Region, All-NJAC and New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association (NJCBA) Division II/III All-State First Teams ... Started 41 of 42 games, leading the team with 77 hits (second in NJAC, tied-18th in Division III), eight home runs (tied-third in NJAC), and 53 runs scored (third in NJAC) ... Added three triples while compiling a .495 on-base percentage (fifth in NJAC) ... His 2008 totals ranked him third in hits, fourth in RBI, tied for sixth in doubles, eighth in average, and 10th in at-bats (177) on the Pioneer single-season charts ... Had a hit in 35 games, and reached base safely in all but four games in 2008 ... Batted .500 (6-for-12) in the NJAC Tournament, adding three runs, three RBI, a double and a stolen base ... Slugged two home runs and was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI during a 6-4 win against Rutgers-Newark (4/7/08) ... Had multi-RBI efforts in 18 contests.

 

2007: Had an outstanding first year with the Pioneers, leading WP with four home runs, 41 RBI and a .618 slugging percentage ... Named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Mid-Atlantic Region All-Second Team and the NJAC All-First Team as a freshman, as well as the New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association (NJCBA) Division II/III Rookie Player of the Year ... Started in 35 of 36 games, posting a .410 average (fifth in NJAC) ... Was fourth in the NJAC in slugging percentage, fifth in total bases (89) and tied for seventh in hits (59) ... Had 18 multi-hit games ... His home run against Luther College (3/18/07) led the Pioneers to an 11-10 victory and earned him NJAC and NJCBA Rookie of the Week honors (3/19/07) ... Went 3-for-3 with four runs, six RBI and a home run against Ramapo College (4/28/07) ... Had eight RBI in four games (4/17/07-4/21/07), helping earn him NJAC Rookie of the Week honors for two consecutive weeks (4/23/07 and 4/30/07).

 

Prior to William Paterson: Attended the University of Delaware in 2005-06.

 

Academics: Majoring in exercise and movement science.
