Biography

Career: An all-conference and state all-rookie pick as a freshman, he has started in 99 of 103 games, hitting .310 with 75 runs scored, 62 RBI, 24 doubles and eight triples.

2011: Drove in 26 runs, knocking out nine doubles and two triples in 38 appearances (37 starts) … Posted three sacrifice bunts and two sac flies … Drove in 10 runs in conference play for the Pioneers, second most on the team … Went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a double against Western New England (3/14/11) … His 2-for-4 effort included two RBI and a pair of doubles, crossing the plate three times to help propel the Pioneers to a 15-0 victory against John Jay (3/31/11) … Drove in three of the four runs during a 4-3 victory over New Jersey City (4/7/11).

2010: Started in 31 games, leading the Pioneers’ everyday players with a .395 batting average … Compiled a .491 slugging percentage as well as a .442 on-base percentage … Tied for second for the Pioneers with nine doubles while driving in 17 runs … In the NJAC statistics, ranked eighth in batting average and tied for 10th in sacrifice hits (five) … Had 14 multi-hit games and an 11-game hit streak (April 1-17) … Went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI against Transylvania (3/18/10) … His 3-for-3 effort at the plate helped the Pioneers defeat Stevens, 9-8 in 10 innings (3/27/10) … Hit a pair of doubles and scored twice during a 10-7 win against New Jersey City (4/16/10).

2009: Was named to the New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association Division II/III All-Rookie Team and the All-NJAC Honorable Mention Team after hitting .290 with 33 runs scored, 19 RBI, six doubles and five triples … Was tied for second for the Pioneers in triples and fifth in runs scored … Compiled a .439 slugging percentage and a .421 on-base percentage … In league play, hit .333 with 19 runs scored and five doubles in 48 at-bats … In the NJAC statistics, was tied for third in triples/game (0.15, 36th in Division III), tied for fourth in triples (42nd nationally), fifth in walks/game (0.68) and tied for 10th in walks (23) … Went 3-for-4 with a pair of triples and a RBI during a 6-5 win against John Jay (4/21/09) … Hit two doubles, drove in a pair of runs and scored three times as part of a 3-for-4 effort during a 16-3 victory against Montclair State (4/17/09).

Prior to William Paterson: A two-year captain who broke the career (149) and single-season (51) hits records at Lyndhurst H.S. ... Batted .489 as senior to help guide the Golden Bears to a Group 1 championship ... Was a four-time all-league selection, and a first-team all-Group and second-team all-state and all-county honoree in 2008 ... His school’s career leader in three-pointers made (119), he was a first-team all-league and second-team all-county honoree in basketball ... Won the 2008 state title as a member of the Lyndhurst American Legion.
