Prior to William Paterson: Was a two-time first-team all-NBIAL selection at Pascack Valley H.S. ... Went 5-2 with a 2.30 ERA as a senior while posting a .376 average and 38 RBI, earning second-team all-county and third-team all-Group 2 honors ... Also played football and finished as the state runners-up in 2006 and 2007 while earning all-NBIAL accolades.
