Prior to William Paterson: Transferred from Oral Roberts where he made three appearances as a junior  in 2009 … Made 11 appearances as a sophomore (2008), compiling a 4.26 ERA and not allowing a run in 10 of his 11 appearances … Played for Temple University in 2007 where he appeared in relief three times before receiving a medical redshirt … As a senior at River Dell Regional H.S. he was awarded first-team all-conference and second-team all-county honors after going 7-2 with a 1.41 ERA and 89 strikeouts … Received first-team all-conference laurels as a junior and honorable-mention all-league accolades as a sophomore … Also a high school letterwinner in basketball and football, earning all-league honors as a senior in both sports … Owns the school record with a 49-yard field goal.
