DELHI, N.Y.  - The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (6-3) came away with a 372-361 win in its road contest against SUNY-Delhi (0-4) on Jan 17.
TOP PERFORMERS:

• Junior Justin Melli (Erma, N.J./Lower Cape May Regional) earned first-place finishes in the 1000 free (11:01.81) and 100 fly (58.46).
• Freshman Horain Reid (Trenton, N.J./Trenton Central) touched the wall first in the 200 free (2:06.61).
• Sophomore Derek Gutowski (Succasunna, N.J./Roxburry) secured victory in the 50 free (29.60).
• Junior Zak Li (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) triumphed in the 50 breast (30.19), 100 free (52.17) and 100 IM (59.86).
• Freshman Andre Miguel Ovejas (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick) finished first in the 500 free (6:05.87).
• Junior Max Russell (Wharton, N.J./Jefferson Twp.) clinched victory in the 50 fly (26.91).
• WP won the 200 free relay, with efforts from Melli, sophomore Mario Pontidis (Fairfield, N.J./West Essex), Russell, and junior Owen Kane (West Milford, N.J./West Milford), finishing with a time of 1:39.76.
