Men’s Soccer Plays to Scoreless Draw with Stockton to Open NJAC Play

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson men's soccer team (4-3-2, 0-0-1 NJAC) played to a scoreless draw against visiting Stockton (5-2-3, 0-0-1 NJAC) to start conference play Sept. 27.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Pioneers had the day's best scoring chance with 14 minutes remaining in the first half when senior back Delvin Nketia (New Brunswick, N.J./Montclair) drew the Osprey keeper out of the goal, then found freshman forward Adrian Qira (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) in the box, but Qira saw his shot blocked by a defender on the goal line.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Senior Luca Misko (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater Raritan) collected four saves for his fifth career shutout.
 
UP NEXT:
  • William Paterson plays next on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at 7:00 p.m. at Ramapo.
