Men's Soccer Secures 2-1 Conference Road Victory at Ramapo

WAYNE, N.J.  – The William Paterson men's soccer team (5-3-2, 1-0-1 NJAC) earned an away 2-1 conference win at Ramapo College (7-2-1) on Oct. 4.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Sophomore Davide Zamuner (Piverone, Italy/Liceo Scientifico Statale A. Gramsci) struck first in the 11th minute, finishing a setup from freshman Niko Pierce (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) to give the Pioneers a 1-0 lead.
  • In the 34th minute, Zamuner scored his second goal of the match, extending WP's lead to 2-0.  
  • The Roadrunners responded in the 64th minute, trimming WP's lead to 2-1.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Zamuner scored his second and third goals of the year.
  • Pierce contributed his third assist of the season.
  • Senior goalkeeper Luka Misko posted a season-high seven saves.
UP NEXT:
  • William Paterson travels to Rutgers-Newark for an NJAC match on Saturday, October 4, at 7:00 p.m.
