READING, Pa. – The William Paterson field hockey team (1-6) earned its first win of the 2025 campaign after besting Albright (1-6), 2-0, Sept. 24 in a road non-conference game.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Pioneers took an early 1-0 lead after sophomore Julia Dennehy (Norwalk, Conn./Norwalk) found the back of the cage in the fourth minute.
• WP tacked on an insurance score in the 36th minute once Dennehy recorded her second goal of the contest.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Dennehy logged her first goals of the season.
• It marked her second career multi-goal game.
• Sophomore Grace Jenkins (Bloomsbury, N.J./Delaware Valley Regional) posted her first career shutout while making four saves.
• Melissa Zurawiecki picked up her first win as a collegiate head coach.

• William Paterson will host Cedar Crest on Wednesday, Oct. 1, for a 7:00 p.m. game at Wightman Stadium.
