Women's Soccer Bested by #RV NYU

NEWARK, N.J. – The William Paterson women's soccer team (3-3) was defeated 5-0 by #RV NYU (4-1-1) in a road non-conference match Sept. 17.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • It was a scoreless game until NYU broke through in the 38th minute with a goal.
  • The Violets tacked on four goals in the second half.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Senior Sarah Mantilla (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) made a career-high 21 saves.
  • It marked the first time in her career that she recorded 20 or more saves in an outing.
UP NEXT:
  • William Paterson plays host to Bard on Saturday, Sept. 20, for a 5:00 p.m. match.
