Men's Soccer Rallies to 1-1 Draw at No. 21 Stevens

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson men's soccer team (1-0-1, 0-0-0 NJAC) earned a 1-1 draw with a late equalizer at No. 21 Stevens (0-1-0, 0-0-0 MAC) Sept 1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Ducks took a 1-0 lead at the 5:53 mark.
  • In the 77th minute, senior Matty Escobar (Kearny, N.J./Kearny) responded to his saved penalty by firing the rebound into the bottom center of the net to score for the Pioneers and even the match at 1-1.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Junior Luca Misko (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater Raritan) made four saves for the Pioneers.
  • Escobar netted his second goal of the season.
