Men's Swimming and Diving Bested by Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (5-3) fell in a road meet against Brooklyn College (6-0), 129-99, on Dec. 6.
TOP PERFORMERS:
  • Junior Zak Li (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) was victorious in the 200 free (1:57.74).
  • WP won the 200 medley relay, with efforts from sophomore Derek Gutowski (Succasunna, N.J./Roxburry), junior Owen Kane (West Milford, N.J./West Milford), junior Max Russell (Wharton, N.J./Jefferson Twp.), and sophomore Ismael Lamar (Lyndhurst, N.J./Lyndhurst), finishing with a time of 1:54.23.
  • The Pioneers placed first in the 200 free relay, with efforts from sophomore Mario Pontidis (Fairfield, N.J./West Essex), senior Garrett D'Elia (Maywood, N.J./Hackensack), Russell, and Lamar, finishing with a time of 1:38.85.

  • William Paterson travels to SUNY-Delhi on Saturday, Jan. 17, for a 1:00 p.m. meet.
