PITMAN, N.J. – William Paterson senior forward
Patty Walsh (Middletown, N.J./Middletown North) earned her second New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week award of the season when she was recognized Dec. 22.
Walsh posted 19 points, 10 rebounds, two steals and a blocked shot during a 70-57 victory Dec. 17 against Marywood.
Earlier this season, Walsh was named the Nov. 24 NJAC Player of the Week and the Dec. 8 NJAC Defensive Player of the Week. Classmate
Renee Wells (Leonardo, N.J./Middletown South) was the Nov. 17 and Dec. 1 NJAC Player of the Week, and junior
Jada Jacobs (Mount Laurel, N.J./Medford Tech) was the Dec. 22 NJAC Player of the Week.
The Pioneers (10-0, 5-0 NJAC) will enjoy an extended break for the holidays, returning to action at the JHU Women's Basketball Classic Saturday, Jan. 3, against host No. 5/5 Johns Hopkins at 4:00 p.m.
