BETHLEHEM, P.A. - The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (5-1) secured a 115-57 road victory over Moravian (0-3) on November 8.
TOP PERFORMERS:

• Junior Zak Li (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) led the Pioneers with first-place finishes in the 100 free (51.60), 200 free (1:57.96) and 200 breast (2:23.19).
• Junior Justin Melli (Erma, N.J./Lower Cape May Regional) was victorious in the 500 free (5:19.21) and 1000 free (10:50.46).
• Senior Nicky Byrd (Purchase, N.Y./Harrison) triumphed in the 200 IM (2:16.96).
• Sophomore Mario Pontidis (Fairfield, N.J./West Essex) finished first in the 100 fly (1:05.78).
• The Pioneers placed first in the 200 medley relay (1:53.83), with efforts from Byrd, Pontidis, sophomore Ismael Lamar (Lyndhurst, N.J./Lyndhurst), and junior Owen Kane (West Milford, N.J./West Milford).

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Freshman Horain Reed registered a personal record in the 50 free (25.75).
• Kane shredded time off his 100 free best (59.83).
• Li posted a new personal best in the 200 breast (2:23.19).
• Sophomore Christian Scerbo (East Hanover, N.J./Hanover Park) lowered his 200 free best (2:23.02).
