Women's Swimming and Diving Secures Road Win over Mount Saint Mary

NEWBURGH, N.Y. - The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (2-2) earned a decisive 130.5-42.5 road win over Mount Saint Mary College (0-2) on Saturday, Nov. 2.

TOP PERFORMERS:
  • Sophomore Katelyn Antonoff (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) posted first-place finishes in the 100 back (1:09.60), 200 IM (2:28.42), and 1000 free (12:08.89).
  • Senior Sarah Gomez (Paterson, N.J./Passaic County Tech) claimed victory in the 50 free (26.38), 100 free (59.12), and 100 breast (1:16.70).
  • Freshman Adaya Bourne (Saunders, Sint Maarten/Milton Peters College) touched the wall first in the 200 free (2:13.17) and 100 fly (1:06.74).
  • Sophomore Skylar Coleman (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) secured victory in the 500 free (6:17.34).
  • WP was victorious in the 200 medley relay (2:08.40) with efforts from Coleman, Bourne, sophomore Dalisha Romero (Perth Amboy, N.J./Perth Amboy), and sophomore Frances Gomes (Kearny, N.J./Kearny).
  • The Pioneers finished first in the 400 free relay (4:36.01) with efforts from Coleman, Romero, sophomore Sarah Churchill (Washington Twp., N.J./Westwood), and sophomore Savannah Morante (Scranton, Pa./Scranton H.S.).
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Antonoff posted a new personal best in the 200 IM (2:28.42).

  • William Paterson hosts St. Joseph's University (LI) on Tuesday, Nov. 4 for a 6:00 p.m. meet.
