UNION, N.J. – The William Paterson women's soccer team (6-7-2, 1-3-2 NJAC) played to a 1-1 draw at Kean (7-5-2, 2-3-1 NJAC) in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) road game Oct. 18.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Both sides were scoreless until Kean broke through in the 71st minute to take a 1-0 lead.
• In the 78th minute, sophomore Janie Henderson (Stanhope, N.J./Hopatcong) scored off a feed from junior Maria Funiciello (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) to even the score at 1-1.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Henderson scored her fifth goal of the season.
• Funiciello posted her second assist of the year.
• Senior goalkeeper Sarah Mantilla (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) made six saves.

UP NEXT:

• William Paterson will head on the road to face off against Rutgers-Camden on Wednesday, Oct. 22, for a 7:00 p.m. conference match.
