Women's Soccer Topped by Rutgers-Camden, 2-1

CAMDEN, N.J. – The William Paterson women's soccer team (6-8-2, 1-4-2 NJAC) dropped a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) road game to Rutgers-Camden (3-6-7, 2-3-2 NJAC), 2-1, Oct. 22.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Pioneers struck first when junior Kira Collum (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) found the back of the net in the 36th minute to give WP a 1-0 advantage.
  • Rutgers-Camden evened the score with a goal in the 49th minute before tacking on the eventual game-winner in the 80th minute.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Collum recorded her second goal of the season.
  • Senior goalkeeper Sarah Mantilla (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) made nine saves.
UP NEXT:
  • William Paterson returns to Pioneer Soccer Park Saturday, Oct. 25, for a 5:00 p.m. conference match against The College of New Jersey.
