Men's Soccer Posts Clean Sheet in 2-0 Win Over Kean

WAYNE, N.J.  – The William Paterson men's soccer team (6-7-1, 1-3-1 NJAC) earned a 2-0 shutout home win over Kean University (2-10-3, 1-2-2 NJAC) in New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) action on Oct. 18.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Junior Jonathan Antonio (Edison, N.J./Edison) put WP on the board in the 15th minute, finishing a feed from senior Jakub Paszczyk (Middlesex, N.J./Middlesex) for a 1-0 lead.
  • With under five minutes remaining, freshman Adrian Qira (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) found the back of the net to lock in a 2-0 win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • Qira recorded his first goal as a Pioneer.
  • Antonio added his second goal of the season.
  • Pasczyk posted his first assist of the year.
  • Senior goalkeeper Luka Misko made eight saves.
