Men's Soccer Tops Rutgers-Newark, 1-0

NEWARK, N.J. – The William Paterson men's soccer team (6-3-2, 2-0-1 NJAC) earned a 1-0 road New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) victory against Rutgers-Newark (7-4-1, 1-2-0 NJAC) Oct. 4.   

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Senior Seydou Camara (Wood-Ridge, N.J./Wood-Ridge) found the back of the net in the 30th minute to put the Pioneers in front, 1-0.
  • Senior goalkeeper Luca Misko (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater Raritan) made four stops in the second half to keep the Scarlet Raiders off the board.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Camara notched his third goal of the year.
  • Misko finished with seven saves en route to his fourth clean sheet of the season.
UP NEXT:
  • William Paterson returns to Pioneer Soccer Park Wednesday, Oct. 8, for a 7:00 p.m. matchup against FDU-Florham.
