HOW IT HAPPENED:

- A score from inside by senior Andre Wells (Matawan, N.J./Matawan) with 8:38 remaining in the half made it a seven-point game (22-15) before the Scarlet Raptors responded with a 12-2 run to extend the lead to 17 (34-17).
- Rutgers-Camden owned a double-digit lead for most of the second half until an 11-2 WP run, capped by a 3-pointer from senior David Martinez (Maywood, N.J./Hackensack) at 6:56, trimmed the deficit to nine (59-50).
- That would be as close as the Pioneers would get as the Scarlet Raptors iced the game at the foul line. Â
