WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (10-1) bested SUNY Delhi (0-7), 52-37, Jan. 14 at Wightman Pool.

TOP PERFORMERS:

• Sophomore Justin Melli (Erma, N.J./Lower Cape May Regional) posted a first-place finish in the1650 free (18:56.41).
• Senior Ricardo Ordinola (Lodi, N.J./Passaic County Tech) secured victory in the 200 free (2:02.81).
• Freshman Mario Pontidis (Fairfield, N.J./West Essex) touched the wall first in the 50 free (23.70).
• WP won the 200 medley, with efforts by sophomore Garrett D'Elia (Maywood, N.J./Hackensack), sophomore Owen Kane (West Milford, N.J./West Milford), freshman Isaiah Pierre (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg), and freshman Ismael Lamar (Lyndhurst, N.J./Lyndhurst), finishing with a time of 1:58.68.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Ordinola clocked in with a new personal best in the 200 free (2:02.81).
