Women's Soccer Battles Stockton to 1-1 Draw

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson women's soccer team (3-3-3, 0-0-1 NJAC) battled Stockton (5-2-2, 0-0-1 NJAC) to a 1-1 draw Sept. 25 at Pioneer Soccer Park.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • In the 17th minute, senior Hailey Nelson (Elmer, N.J./A.P. Schalick) converted a penalty kick, placing the ball into the bottom corner of the net to give  the Pioneers an early 1-0 lead.
  • Just before halftime, Stockton leveled the score with less than a second on the clock to make it 1-1.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  •  Nelson scored her third goal of the season.

  • William Paterson hosts St. Joseph's (L.I.) for a non-conference match, Monday, Sept. 30, at 6:00 p.m.
