  • WP struck twice during its first at-bat. Senior center fielder Jake Lutz (River Vale, N.J./Pascack Valley Regional) and freshman third baseman Ty Kobylakiewicz (Woodbridge, N.J./Woodbridge) walked, advanced a base on a wild pitch and scampered home when junior first baseman RJ Mehnert (Wayne, N.J./DePaul Catholic) singled to right field.
  • The Pioneers made it a 10-0 score in the second. Junior second baseman Ruven Pino (Fairview, N.J./Bergen Catholic) provided a base hit up the middle and junior shortstop Tom Radigan (Verona, N.J./Verona) was issued a base on balls, followed by a Lutz single and error for a 4-0 score. Junior catcher Austin Jack (Oak Ridge, N.J./Jefferson Twp.) and Kobylakiewicz walked to load the bags, leading to an RBI-single by junior right fielder Gio Aresta, a run-scoring wild pitch, walks for Mehnert and junior left fielder Christian Hay (River Edge, N.J./River Dell Regional), an RBI-fielder's choice from junior designated hitter Tyler Ruban (Oak Ridge, N.J./Jefferson Twp.), a Pino bases on balls and a two-run base hit to center by Radigan.
  • Ruban singled in Pino, who reached via a base hit to left, for an 11-0 margin in the fifth.
