Men's Basketball Topped at Stockton

GALLOWAY, N.J. – The William Paterson men's basketball team (3-5, 0-3 NJAC) fell 81-55 to Stockton (6-1, 3-0 NJAC) in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) road game Dec. 7.   
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Stockton jumped out to a 31-10 advantage with 5:01 remaining in the first half.
  • In the final 2:39 of the opening stanza, the Pioneers went on an 11-2 run to trim the deficit to 17 (40-23).
  • The Ospreys maintained their double-digit lead the rest of the way and secured the 81-55 win.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Senior David Martinez (Maywood, N.J./Hackensack) paced the Pioneers with 18 points.
  • Senior Andre Wells (Matawan, N.J./Matawan) went 4-for-5 (.800) from the field with four rebounds.
  • Senior Shane Geene (Lafayette, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) was 4-of-6 (.667) from the floor with 10 points, six boards and two blocks.
