Field Hockey Succumbs to No. 24 Stevens

HOBOKEN, N.J. – The William Paterson field hockey team (2-7) suffered an 8-0 loss at No. 24 Stevens (7-4) Oct. 5.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Ducks got on the scoreboard midway through the first quarter, then added another goal for a 2-0 edge in the 12th minute.
  • Stevens found the back of the cage three times during the second quarter and three more times in the third.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Freshman Sofia Chebookjian (Ocean Township, N.J./Ocean Township) had her third double-digit saves games of the year with 13 stops.
 
UP NEXT:
  • William Paterson starts New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) play Wednesday, Oct. 9, at home against Montclair State at 7:00 p.m.
