Women’s Field Hockey Falls to Stockton in 8-0 Defeat

GALLOWAY, N.J. – The William Paterson women's field hockey team (2-12, 0-5 NJAC) fell to Stockton (8-7, 2-2 NJAC) 8-0 in a New Jersey Athletic Conference road contest on Oct. 26.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • With less than four minutes remaining in the first quarter, Stockton scored two consecutive goals, taking a 2-0 lead.
  • The Ospreys extended their advantage to three goals midway through the second quarter.
  • In the third quarter, Stockton scored four goals in quick succession at the 31st, 37th, 39th, and 41st minutes, stretching their lead to 7-0.
  • An early fourth-quarter goal sealed the Ospreys' 8-0 victory over the Pioneers.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Freshman goalie Sofia Chebookjian (Ocean Township, N.J./Ocean Township) recorded 12 saves.
