EWING, N.J. – Freshmen Chimjae Mukanda (Elizabeth, N.J./Elizabeth) and Jaden Blount (Piscataway, N.J./Piscataway) combined to score two goals as the William Paterson men's soccer team (5-6, 1-2 NJAC) secured a 2-1 conference road victory over The College of New Jersey (3-7-1, 1-2 NJAC) Sept. 30.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• It was a scoreless game until Mukanda found the back of the net in the 67th minute to put the Pioneers ahead, 1-0.
• In the 72nd minute, WP was on the attack again and Blount scored to give his team a two-goal advantage.
• Less than a minute later, the Lions tallied their lone score of the game.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Mukanda netted his second goal of the season.
• Blount recorded his third career goal.
• Graduate student goalkeeper Thomas Hatch (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) made six saves.
