Women's Soccer Earns 1-0 Road Win at St. Joseph's (L.I.)

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – The William Paterson women's soccer team (1-1-3) captured a 1-0 road victory against St. Joseph's College (L.I.) (2-1) Sept. 13.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • In the 24th minute, graduate student Gianna Labiento (Lynbrook, N.Y./Sacred Heart Academy) found the back of the net for the lone goal of the game.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Labiento tallied her first goal of the season.
  • Sophomore goalkeeper Emma Timochko (Waldwick, N.J./Waldwick) made a career high six saves and posted a clean sheet in her first career start.
 
UP NEXT:
  • William Paterson will head to the Empire State Wednesday, Sept. 20, for a 6:30 p.m. match at New York University.
