VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (2-2-1) secured an 86-61 win over Purchase (0-3) at Wightman Pool on Nov. 4.
 

TOP PERFORMERS:

• Senior Nicole Kahwaty (Lake Hopatcong, N.J./Morris County Tech) won the 1,000 free (13:43.60).
• Junior Samantha Pricken (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) touched the wall first in the 200 free (2:19.75).
• Freshman Kira Collum (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) made her collegiate swimming debut with a victory in the 50 free (34.36).
• Sophomore Sarah Gomez (Paterson, N.J./Passaic County Tech) placed first in the 200 IM (2:27.64) and 100 free (59.61).
• Senior Hailey Krajewski (Clifton, N.J./DePaul Catholic) earned nine points with her first-place finish in the 100 fly (1:16.89).
• The Pioneers posted a first-place finish in the 200 medley with efforts by Pricken, Krajewski, seniors Jillian Starace (Toms River, N.J./Toms River East) and Melody Espin (Colonia, N.J./Colonia), finishing with a time of 2:06.91.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Freshman Sarah Filipowicz (Hewitt, N.J./West Milford) posted personal bests in the 50 free (34.62) and 100 free (1:24.61).
• Senior Skylar Mancini (Toms River, N.J./Toms River East) beat her personal record in the 100 breast (1:56.15).

UP NEXT:

• William Paterson travels to Bethlehem, Pa., for a 1:00 p.m. meet against Moravian Saturday, Nov. 11.
