Women's Soccer Draws with Pratt on Senior Day

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson women's soccer team (3-4-7) celebrated seniors Elisa Zuta (Pompton Lakes, N.J./Pompton Lakes) and Hailey Krajewski (Clifton, N.J./DePaul Catholic) prior to tying, 1-1, with Pratt (5-4-1) at Pioneer Soccer Park on Monday, Oct. 16.
 
MATCH ONE
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Pratt took a 1-0 advantage six minutes into the first half.
  • Zuta drew a foul to set up junior Brianna De La Cruz (Clifton, N.J./Clifton) for a free kick right outside the box. De La Cruz dropped a shot right over the goalkeeper's head to tie up the game in the 83rd minute.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • De La Cruz earned her second consecutive goal of the season.
  • The Pioneers outscored the Cannoneers 24-1 in shots and 6-0 in corners.
  • Prior to the match WP honored its seniors Hailey Krajewski (Clifton, N.J./DePaul Catholic) and Elisa Zuta (Pompton Lakes, N.J./Pompton Lakes).
