Women's Soccer Topped in Road Tilt by Wilkes, 2-0

EDWARDSVILLE, Pa. – The William Paterson women's soccer team was defeated, 2-0, by Wilkes on Tuesday night.  

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Colonels grabbed a 1-0 advantage early in the second half after tallying a score in the 47th minute.
  • Less than three minutes later, Wilkes tacked on an insurance goal to make it a 2-0 game.  
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • Sarah Mantilla (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) made a career-high six saves in net for the Pioneers.
  • Hailey Nelson (Elmer, N.J./A.P. Schalick) tallied William Paterson's lone shot on the night.
UP NEXT:
  • The Pioneers will head to Newark, N.J., on Saturday, Sept. 10, to take on Swarthmore on the first day of the Rutgers-Newark Brick City Classic slated for 12 p.m.
