Women’s Soccer Topped 2-0 by Swarthmore

WAYNE, N.J. – Despite a career-high 13-save effort by Sarah Mantilla (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) in goal, the William Paterson women's soccer team dropped a non-conference tilt to Swarthmore, 2-0, on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The two sides were scoreless until Swarthmore broke through with a goal in the 43rd minute to take a 1-0 advantage into the half.
  • Less than three minutes after the midway point of the contest, the Garnet added an insurance goal.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Mantilla posted her first career double-digit save performance.
  • The Pioneers put 11 of their 14 shots on goal.
  • William Paterson held the edge in corners, 4-3.
